Varo’s Operations Content Team is looking for somebody who will bring their technical writing skills and creative personality to help us build engaging and easy-to-understand employee and customer-facing material, focusing on our products and back-end technical processes.
The ability to boil down complex information into easy-to-understand instructions is key to this role, as is a passion for working cooperatively with a variety of different departments and roles to come up with creative solutions, while being able to independently develop and drive projects. As our Content Manager, you’ll communicate our policies and procedures to all Operations employees to ensure our content reflects Varo’s values, brand, and compliance requirements. Yay!
What you'll be doing
Develop, draft, review, and publish technical procedures for a variety of employees, including our Digital Banking Representatives, Back Office Teams, and others who service customer accounts
Work collaboratively with our Project Managers, as well as process owners on our Product, Marketing, and Operations Teams to ensure all content is accurate and aligned between departments
Develop creative solutions and assist in designing processes, at the direction of process owners
Support new product launches by working collaboratively to drive process development, and draft and develop corresponding technical procedures
Create and edit customer facing FAQs on our app and website, as well as servicing emails, to explain operational processes and products in a straightforward and empathetic manner
Create knowledge based content to reflect policy changes
Organize and maintain the locations of accessible content
Manage timelines and priorities of various projects
Maintain and organize communication between process owners and stakeholders to ensure content is properly reviewed, feedback is factored in, and then internal comms channels are updated with the finalized version for rollout to applicable teams
Review all content with Varo’s internal Legal and Compliance teams to ensure all applicable material is properly approved
You'll bring the following required skills and experiences
At least 3 years of previous experience with technical writing/content management in fintechs and/or financial services, including working knowledge of banking and lending regulations
Flexible, adaptable, and passionate about working in a fast-paced startup environment where processes and products evolving to make things better for our employees and customers
Exceptional attention to detail
Self motivated and responsible for managing daily work load, as well as long term goals and projects
Excellent written and verbal communications with an ability to clearly present to and collaborate with all levels of an organization
Experience with G-Suite, Microsoft Office, and knowledge base systems
Ability to identify, synthesize, consolidate and communicate key trends, themes and issues
Exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity and resourcefulness in decision making and independent problem-solving
Must possess high motivation, enthusiasm and dedication to deliver results within strict timeframes
Degrees or advanced training in technical writing, English, communications, information science, or related field, preferred but not required
$55,000 - $75,000 a year
For cash compensation, we set standard ranges for all US-based roles based on function, level, and geographic location, benchmarked against similar-stage growth companies. Per applicable law, the salary range for this role is $55,000 - $75,000. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors as well as candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the identified range.
