The Aerosol Project Engineer will manage product development projects from concept to commercialization. You Will:
Manage aerosol development projects; including planning, scheduling, budgeting and resource allocation.
Apply in-depth knowledge of aerosol technology to develop innovative products.
Provide subject matter expertise on formulation, propellant selection, valve design, filling processes, and product testing.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet customer expectations, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
Identify opportunities to optimize manufacturing processes, reduce cost, and ensure adherence to safety and environmental requirements.
Maintain knowledge of regulations and standards governing aerosol products (e.g., PHMSA, CPSC, FDA, EPA, REACH) and ensure compliance throughout the product development lifecycle.
Drive continuous improvement to enhance product performance, efficiency, and sustainability.
Partner with R&D, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and regulatory affairs teams to achieve project objectives and deliver successful products.
Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in aerosol product development, engineering, or manufacturing.
Experience in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry preferred.
Understanding of regulatory requirements for aerosol products.
Strong project management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to operate as an effective leader and representative of Plastipak.
Ability to travel (10-20%).
