The Department of Military and Veterans Affairs is seeking an Outreach Program Coordinator to create outreach strategies and materials to publicize and promote the agency's programs. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As an Outreach Program Coordinator, you will report to the Executive Deputy Secretary while developing, coordinating, synchronizing, and implementing the agency's outreach program. You will have the opportunity to work closely with both state and federal program offices recruiting and outreach efforts to ensure synchronization of all assets. Work includes advising on creative technical decisions for events and productions, determining outreach program needs, identifying and developing contacts and resources for previously uncontacted communities, and representing the department at public events, conferences, and meetings to build rapport with community partners and local resources. Additional responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:
Coordinating all aspects of digital video production including video, audio, and multimedia editing and post-production functions
Evaluating the effectiveness of community resources and partnerships by reviewing data and conducting follow-ups
Initiating and facilitating workgroups regarding the outreach program’s progress, goals, and objectives
Disseminating information to commonwealth agencies, community partners, local business, schools, and universities
Maintaining program databases and records

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment
Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, 5 out of 10 days. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Fort Indiantown Gap, Annville.
Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
One year as an Administrative Officer 1; or
Three years of experience in progressively responsible and varied office management or staff work, including experience in personnel management, budgeting, or procurement; and a bachelor's degree; or
Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
You must possess a valid federal or state-issued photo ID.
You must pass a favorable NCIC screening for admittance to Fort Indiantown Gap.
You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
Experience in researching and developing outreach programs
Experience in varied office management or staff work in a public or private organization, including experience in developing presentation for outreach
Completion of college coursework in public administration, strategic leadership, or other related areas
Experience in the development of social media and video content for media and advertising campaigns, programs, family outreach, and educator outreach
Experience with the media outlets and other communication venues
