The Respiratory Therapist II assists in the treatment and management of patients with pulmonary disorders, collecting and analyzing sputum, blood, and breathing specimens to determine gas levels. This role administers physician-prescribed treatments for patients with breathing abnormalities and performs advanced technical work related to respiratory therapy procedures and protocols. The Respiratory Therapist II also collaborates with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate and promote optimal patient care, demonstrating a higher level of expertise and experience in respiratory therapy.
As a successful candidate, you will:
Set up equipment and medications and administers respiratory treatment as ordered by the physician, charts treatment, response, and progress.
Record observations and services and completes patient records.
Assess and document patients who are receiving respiratory treatments prior to and after treatment.
Maintain established department policies, procedures, objectives, and quality assurance, safety.
Qualifications
Your qualifications should include:
Two years of Respiratory Therapist experience
California Respiratory Care Practitioner license (RCP)
Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
Valid Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
Hourly Per Diem Rate: $ 50.800129
