Our Structural Team is looking for a Structural Engineer in Training II to join our team. This is a hybrid position and can be based out of our Philadelphia office.
The Structural Engineer-in-Training II works on projects, under the direction of Project Engineer(s) and Group Leader, to perform design and documentation tasks while gaining experience toward their professional license (PE) and growth into a Project Engineer role. Works under the direction of Project Engineer(s) and Group Leader.
Essential Functions
Utilize AutoCAD and Revit to produce structural construction documents.
Perform hand calculations and utilize structural software for design and analysis tasks.
Perform surveying and documentation of existing conditions.
Interface with other disciplines to coordinate specific project conditions to inform and execute structural design.
Review submittals.
Respond to contractor Requests for Information (RFIs).
Assist in performing site observation visits and writing associated site visit reports.
Develop structural sections and details.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.
Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with Structural Concentration, in Architectural Engineering, or Bachelor of Architectural Engineering
E.I.T. (or qualified to sit for E.I.T.)
Technical knowledge of engineering principles and their application to the design and analysis of structural systems
Familiarity with building codes and material design codes as they relate to structural engineering
2 to 5 years’ experience
Knowledge of AutoCAD/Revit software
Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, Bluebeam and structural software
Microsoft Office suite
Basic computer skills
