Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist
The AP Expense Specialist is responsible for researching and processing all invoices by working closely with the expense vendors, relevant stakeholders, and the Procure to Pay team to ensure that all invoices are paid in a timely manner.
Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following:
- Reviews all incoming invoices to verify accurate accounting.
- Keeps Invoicing inbox updated & responds to inquiries.
- Works in tandem with Procurement team to resolve Procure to Pay processing issues
- Utilizes analytical tools at disposal to research and resolve accounting issues
- Continuously develops knowledge in the Procure to Pay space and actively contributes to team process improvements
- Assigns invoices to a purchase order or spend plan or route to the appropriate stakeholder
- Ensures monthly closes are completed as specified
- Assists and responds to expense vendors & stakeholders with any questions
- Cross-trains with Procurement team to enable support as needed.
- Liaises with Procure to Pay team and Sr. Manager of Procurement & AP regarding issue resolution
- Adheres to SOX compliance rules
- Additional duties as assigned
To join our band, you’ll need the following experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree (or 4 years of equivalent work experience), preferably in Business or Finance
- 3+ years of relevant work experience (in addition to degree or years of previous experience), preferably with 1 year of previous Accounts Payable experience
- Novice understanding of basic accounting principles
- Novice understanding of sourcing and procurement process
- Novice knowledge and familiarity with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Novice understanding of online retail transactions

Pay Rate: $20.00- $25.00/hr depending on background and experience.
