As a Laboratory Supervisor, youll get to:
Hire, supervise, train and assess the performance of laboratory staff and personnel.
Guarantee the thorough completion of reagent preparation, pre-qualification, and quality assurance.
Carry out essential competency observations and ensure meticulous and accurate documentation.
Perform preventive maintenance, quality assurance, calibrations, and equipment. Identify malfunctions in high complexity equipment and troubleshoot, as necessary.
Ensure an adequate level of supplies and reagents are maintained.
Actively participate in discussions related to process improvement and budgeting.
Bachelor's degree required
Must satisfy CLIA requirements for High Complexity Testing required
Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT/MLS) or Specialist in Blood Banking (SBB) by a certifying agency preferred.
Three years of clinical laboratory testing required.
Two years Reference laboratory experience preferred.
