THE POSITION
The Department of Corrections is seeking a highly motivated individual with experience in building maintenance and repair to oversee inmate work crews in completing construction and maintenance work orders. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Maintenance Foreman, you will primarily supervise inmates in the performance of various maintenance, repair, construction, grounds keeping, and janitorial tasks in and around the facility. In addition, you will perform journey work in trades such as carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical, refrigeration, masonry, steam-fitting, welding, and more. In this position, you will make decisions independently and ensure custody and control over inmates.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment, 40 hour work week.
Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday.
Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.
This position is eligible for full benefits at age 50 or 55.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Four years of experience performing building maintenance, construction, or general trades work;or
An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
You must be able to perform essential job functions.
