Position Summary
This full-time (40 hours/week) position is responsible for supporting all university functions such as conferences, events, meetings, worship services, and activities with sound, lighting, and audio/visual technical support.

Substantial experience in the operation of complex sound,lighting and video systems. Demonstrated work experience in Customer Service.
Experience Preferred
Two years as a sound engineer, lighting or sound design, or related position in a professional, academic, or house of worship environment.

Special Working Conditions
Ability to perform physical labor and lift 50 lbs. or more when required; ability to ascend stairs and ladders; ability to work from heights. The position requires stamina to stand for long periods of time.
This position requires frequent evening and weekend work.
Driving Requirements
Must have valid drivers license and insurance. This position may require the occasional operation of university vehicles.

Primary Duties
1. Support the set up, operation and tear down of all sound, lighting, and audio visual technical requirements for all university functions and events on campus. 2. Troubleshoot and resolve all technical difficulties experienced during an event in a timely and efficient manner. 3. Monitor the safety and upkeep of all technical areas, facilities, and equipment on campus. Service, maintain, and make minor repairs on equipment. Keep a record of issues and resolutions that occur. 4. Organize multiple storage areas and monitor inventory. 5. Work with student technicians to train and assist them to develop their technical skills. Maintain a training log that shows which students have been trained in which spaces. 6. Plan and write event descriptions for all chapel services, student leadership events including SAB, live music events, Coffee House events, and music department events as assigned by Technical Coordinator. 7. Run the technical aspects of all chapel services. 8. Maintain an up to date file of all current and upcoming event descriptions. 9. Review event descriptions and communicate with the Coordinator so that Coordinator can make changes to the schedule as needed. 10. Take primary lead to handle questions related to audio, video, and event lighting on campus. 11. Assist with the coordination of sound, lighting, stage and audio visual technology for external groups during the summer conference season. 12. Maintain consistent and reliable attendance.
