Title:Bilingual Case Manager
Reports To:Program Director
Pay:$50,460.80 DOE annually, Full Time, Exempt?
Office Hours:Monday Friday; 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (early/late hours or weekends as needed)

YMCA International Services is a unique branch of the YMCA of Greater Houston and seeks to meet the needs of Houstons significant refugee and immigrant communities. We provide comprehensive programs that focus on building human assets and fostering self-sufficiency. The Case Manager will primarily be responsible for the assessment of newly arrived clients, enrolling in the Refugee Medical Assistance program, as well as connecting clients to additional community resources and programs based on their eligibility.
? Essential Functions:
- Responsible for assessing new arrival needs, determining eligibility, and connecting with other programs.
- Responsible for providing orientation to eligible clients in a timely manner.
- Responsible for screening clients to determine eligibility based on documentation and RMA Program guidelines. Provide clients with appropriate guidance for medical benefits.
- Assist clients in navigating the healthcare system, looking for in-network providers, requesting transportation, and language services.
- Responsible for maintaining accurate case files and case notes per RMA guidelines.
- Apply sanctions and participate in the appeal process as needed.
- Assess the clients eligibility with EOIR to ensure eligibility.
- Report changes in eligibility to other programs and applied termination in benefits if needed.
- Be familiar with RMA compliance guidelines.
- Disburse RMA insurance cards to clients.
- Report any changes or errors found in databases to other programs involved.
- Participate in Food Pantry distribution rotation.
- Airport pickup when deemed appropriate and necessary
- The Case Manager is ultimately responsible for all cases assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Reports suspicious and inappropriate behaviors and policy violations.
- Follows mandated abuse and incident reporting requirements.
- Responsible for reviewing and submitting time sheets in a timely manner.
Outcomes
- Case Managers are responsible for services being provided within the eligibility timeframe.
- Case managers are directly responsible for more than 500 cases annually.
- Client files are current and provide a complete picture of services provided as per TXOR CMA.
Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills;
- Highly developed computer skills;
- Ability to effectively manage time and resources;
- Team player, self-motivated, responsive, and excellent trouble-shooter;
- Bachelors Degree and/or relevant professional experience;
- Previous clerical/office experience helpful;
- Fluency in (spoken, written, and reading) Dari/Pashto is required
