Director of International Student Services
Position Overview
Manages international admission personnel and participates in the evaluation of international applications regarding academic qualifications, English proficiency, determination of transfer credit, and all financial and immigration requirements as established by the University. Collaborate with the Executive Director and Director of Recruitment to define and track enrollment targets and suggest effective approaches to achieve them. Lead and manage admissions and immigration staff, establishing standards and effective processes. Maintain and manage budget projections and communicate these projections to the staff and external sources.
Department Specific Essential Job Functions
Participates in the development, planning and execution of the on-campus admission and scholarship programs throughout the year. Assists international students in making adjustments to campus and community life including leading the International Orientation. Qualified to be a DSO and issue required government documents for admitted students. Performs other related duties assigned. Qualifications/Experience Required
Requires a bachelor's degree + five years of experience with leading planning, including program development and innovation, program prioritization, and assessment. Appropriate profession accomplishments and credentials.
Must have a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and be able to operate a typical motor vehicle.
Qualifications/Experience Preferred
Master's degree, Minimum of five years administrative management experience, including oversight of international admissions staff and a proven track record in building enrollment.

The Office of Global Affairs is committed to guiding, serving, and advocating for international students throughout their UCO journey. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for this mission along with excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, human relations, public relations, and organizational skills. They should be proficient with computers, able to work independently, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and interact professionally with all segments of the university community. Strong supervisory, report preparation, training, and project management skills are essential.
The candidate must be able to maintain confidentiality, hire and supervise employees, and make policy and procedure decisions. Attention to detail and leadership qualities that guide a team to achieve and maintain goals are crucial. Additionally, strong analytical and prioritization skills are critical. The ability to provide exceptional customer service to diverse constituents and a working knowledge of global educational systems are also necessary. The candidate should be able to demonstrate an aptitude for financial budgeting, projections, and interpretations.
