Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated professional to join our team as a Supervisor of Manufacturing Planning & Scheduling. In this role, will be responsible for a team to ensure compliance with customer requirements and flawless execution of production plans. The candidate will have a strong background in production planning, scheduling, and team leadership in a manufacturing environment. Will work closely with teams to optimize scheduling and production, improve key performance metrics and maintain high standards. Determine production requirements and develop detailed manufacturing plans and schedules to meet customer demand, take into account factors such as lead times, capacity constraints, maintain inventory levels, and reduce carrying cost.
Ensure strict adherence to quality standards, regulatory requirements, and safety guidelines.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective coordination of resources and materials.
Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas of improvement and implement required changes.
Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of manufacturing planners and schedulers, providing guidance and support. Drive cross training to ensure maximum performance.
Work together with key individuals to effectively introduce new products and technologies.
Create and manage metrics to monitor and assess manufacturing performance.
Participate in regular meetings and provide regular updates on production status and progress.
All required SOP’s and quality records must be updated to reflect current work.
Responsible for staff performance evaluation, PMD, and making primary recommendations on personnel actions such as merit raises, disciplinary actions, promotions, granting of leaves, etc.
Strong computer skills and experience with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Proficient with ERP Systems, SAP.
Prepare accurate and timely reports on operations and activities, recommending improvements and modifications to Management.
Monitor performance against department Key Performance Indicators and deliver results to meet year end goal.
Works with Master Schedular and Manufacturing Leadership in SIOP and Supply Review processes.
Drives ownership of routers, BOM and production standards with Manufacturing Leadership and Supply Chain Analyst.
Prepare and coordinate the issuing of weekly production schedules for assigned products to ensure compliance with the Master Production schedule.
Determine priorities and initiate action where changes in forecast and/or resources dictate re-evaluation of existing schedules.
Delegating projects with clear guidelines and target due dates to ensure successful completion.
Quickly escalate planning issues that cannot be resolved to Leadership.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Travel as needed based on the business impact, audit, performance evaluation, etc.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Operations Management, or related field. Must have 5 years plus experience in a production environment, minimum 2 years of people management experience.
APICS certified in Planning & Inventory Management preferable with medical device manufacturer experience a plus. Six Sigma certified a plus.
Project management skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions. Ability to view a situation logically, break it down into manageable tasks and identify alternative plans of action.
Proficiency in production planning software and ERP systems.
Ensure compliance with corporate, site, and regulatory policies, practices, and guidelines.
Ability to react appropriately to changing priorities, impending deadlines, and prioritize tasks and communicate effectively cross-functional teams.
Maintain confidentiality of critical laboratory and business data.
Highly responsive to internal and external customers.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence and standard operating procedures and present.

Position may require frequent communication and walking to other areas in which designated PPE will be required. Position will require sitting and/or standing for prolonged periods of time. May occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $83,300.00–$125,000.00.
