PositionOverview:
The TransporterEquipment Operator plays a vital role in the safe and efficient movement ofrail vehicles within our facility. Candidates for this position should come from Heavy Equipment Operator(s): Ex:Backhoe, Bulldozer, Front end loader, drilling rig, oil or gas industry,logging/lumberjack, crane operations, military motor T (motor pool/weaponsrelocations) commercial/industrial construction using equipment with multiple,complex hydraulic and electrical controls.
The ideal candidate will have a vast knowledge of safetyregarding heavy equipment operations, vehicle, rigging inspections, loadleveling, center of gravity, awareness of surroundings while operating and/orspotting heavy transport.
Candidateswho possess their CDL operator license is highly preferred.
What yourday will look like:
- Coordinatewith production to facilitate the movement of rail vehicles within thefacility.
- Performa variety of tasks requiring knowledge of processes, procedures, operations,and equipment.
- Loadand unload car shells as needed.
- Moverail vehicles between locations using specialized equipment such as ScheuerleTransporter and Econo-Lift.
- Supportin conducting water tests on car shells and rail vehicles using Track Mobile.
- OccasionallyDrive a 5-ton truck and 40ft goose neck trailer locally (short haul) totransport material/car shells.
- Provideforklift support throughout the facility as required.
- Preparerail vehicles for shipping, including prepping flat cars and loading vehiclesonto trailers.
- Securerail vehicles to flat cars using specialized tie-down methods and materials.
- Installbolsters on car bodies and bogies/dollies on vehicles as necessary.
For yoursafety, we require:
- Experienceas a Heavy Equipment Operator in industries such as Backhoe, Bulldozer, Front end loader, drilling rig, oil orgas industry, logging/lumberjack, crane operations, military motor T (motorpool/weapons relocations) logging, crane operations, or military motor Toperations.
- Extensiveknowledge of safety protocols related to heavy equipment operations.
- Abilityto work effectively in outdoor environments and adverse weather conditions.
- Strongphysical fitness, including the ability to walk long distances on unevensurfaces and lift heavy equipment.
- Excellentteamwork and communication skills.
- Proficiencyin using industrial tools related to heavy equipment operations.
- Candidateswho possess their CDL operator license is highly preferred.

The hourlyrate range for this position is $22.29-$29.92 per hour plus 20% shiftdifferential for 3rd shift. The role is eligible for overtime for certainwork schedules. The salary may be higher or lower depending on your experienceand skills.
