Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a motivated and talented Proposal Project Management Specialist to join our Commercial Modifications & New Business Operations team in Long Beach, CA. This team is responsible for the Proposal Process supporting four BGS-C Modifications product lines: Avionics, FAA Interiors, Connectivity and Aircraft Performance & Systems.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Proposal IPT to ensure that we are delivering a market-leading customer experience. They will coordinate and communicate with all required functions, stake holders, and suppliers to drive growth and revenue performance to meet or exceed the business plan to truly delight our customers.
Position Responsibilities:
- Serve as proposal focal for sales, customer engineering and program management functions
- Support all phases of proposal process, from RFP to contract offer
- Develops, collects, organizes and provides data, updates task, to maintain status of programs, schedule, customer and supplier commitments and compliance
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to drive process improvements
- Participates in maintaining, analyzing and producing metrics related to plans
- Ensure that all project control systems within the scope of the project are in place and integrates project data for decision makers
This position allows some telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform work onsite at the listed location option.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Experience working in a cross functional environment
- Experience interacting with business partners and customers
- Experience in a role that requires project management skills
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience managing proposal development
- Experience developing and delivering presentations to Senior Leaders
- Experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal role
- Experience using Program Management Best Practices: Configuration Control Board (CCB), Risk, Issue, Opportunity (RIO), Performance Management, Requirements Management, integrated master scheduling
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education e.g. Bachelor’s and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master’s and typically 1 or more years’ related work experience or 7 years related work experience.)

Summary pay range: 73,950 – 100,050
