The Boeing Defense Space & Security is seeking a Project Management Specialist, Cost Account Management (CAM) Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead to join the Boeing Common Products Group in El Segundo, CA, in direct support of Government and Commercial Spacecraft Products.
The Common Products portfolio consists of Satellite Payload & Platform Subsystems (Structures, Propulsion, Antenna, Feeds, Reflector, Passive Microwave Devices, Mechanisms, Solar Array, Battery, Wire Harness, and Thermal Blankets). The CAM IPT Lead will manage daily project execution in one (or more) of the subsystem areas, coordinate and communicate with all required functions & suppliers from early program bidding thru final flight delivery; deliver subsystem hardware to the factory floor on time & within budget.
Position responsibilities:
- Manages cost & schedule while managing the design team’s execution on a payload and/or platform subsystem. Develops program organizational, work structures, top-level program, and execution plans. Facilitates the resolution of responsible subsystem issues. Supports the program manager in leading program execution by coordinating program metrics. Integrates the implementation of the Program Management Best Practices.
- Demonstrates proficiency in all project management areas in accordance with accepted project management standards in the industry (Earned Value Management). Ability to define the project, design and plan the project, and manage the project team. Ability to control and deliver project deliverables, project accounting, and appraisal, and optimize the contribution of the people involved.
- Develops and uses collaborative relationships within and outside the organization to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals. Builds rapport and trust among stakeholders and leverages the organization's dynamics to promote program goals by focusing on a shared vision.
- Provides in-depth analysis of the project culminating with lessons learned and historical reports for incorporation into future project plans.
- Develops solutions to complex problems that require ingenuity and innovation.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- 3+ Years of experience in program planning, project management, integrated scheduling, Industrial Engineering, Business Operations, Supplier Management, shop floor Operations, and/or related disciplines.
- 3+ years of experience working with and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects and initiatives
- 3+ years of experience working with Microsoft Office Applications
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Project management experience.
- 3 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- T5 Clearance.
- Experience working with suppliers (subcontractors) and Supply Chain Management.
- Experience working with lab & factory operation management.
- Experience with budget, development of quarterly EAC, program health metrics, earned value, and management of program critical path.
- Experience working with satellite or space-based subsystems.
- Experience with executing on complex systems integration projects.

Lead (Level 5)
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience, 18 years' related work experience, etc.).
Typical Education & Experience:
Senior Level (Level 6)
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 20 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+15 years' related work experience, Master+18 years' related work experience, 24 years' related work experience, etc.)

Summary pay range for Lead 5: $146,200 - $197,800
Summary pay range for Senior 6: $168,300 - $227,700
