Job Description

Perform month-end close activities including preparing and posting journal entries, analyzing variances, and drawing conclusions from available data.
Assist in completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations; implement follow up action plans for resolution to reconciling items.
Prepare and analyze accounting transactions, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy and completion, and provide variance explanations.
Work closely with various departments to resolve any issues that arise surrounding job responsibilities.
Identify improvement opportunities and best practices within business units to drive efficiency.
Assist in special projects and ad hoc requests such as supporting the year-end audit, internal financial reporting, compliance initiatives, and tax filings.
Be willing to learn different areas of the Corporate Accounting department in order to serve as back up as needed.

Qualifications

1-2 years of experience in Accounting or Finance, with strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and internal controls.
High proficiency on Microsoft Excel.
Effective multitasking and project management skills.
Excellent analytical and collaborative problem-solving skills.
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.

Preferred, but not required:

Major ERP system experience, preferably Oracle.
Experience with internal and external auditors.
CPA or CPA candidate.

Pay Range: $36.60 - $38.46 per hour. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
