Job Description:

L3Harris is looking for a Buyer to join its Procurement Team, Duties include:

• Review supplier performance and manage on-time delivery.
• Track status of parts and follow up on past due deliveries / commitments.
• Expedite material to improve working capital and resolve all floor shortages.
• Work with suppliers and Accounts Payable department to close supplier invoice issues and resolve open commitments.
• Attend Weekly Onsite Meetings as Supply Chain Representative
• Ability to assist buyers with administrative duties including parts tracking, resolution of receiving discrepancies, obtaining packing lists, etc.
• Contact suppliers for RMA, assist with placing repairs orders and outside manufacturing orders/services.
  • Attend meetings & conference calls with programs to manage more complex supplier quality/delivery issues.
  • Negotiate priorities with suppliers, with the ability to change contract dates on purchase orders to meet program need dates
  • Ability to assist buyers with return of non-conforming material and shipments of customer furnished material including repairs.
    • Utilize MRP system and Supplier Portal applications.
    • Assist in development of strategic supplier relationships.
    • Participate and/or lead projects/teams as assigned.
    • Attend meetings & conference calls with programs to manage more complex supplier quality/delivery issues.

• Analyize and Prepare Metrics for Weekly Gemba, Buyer Data, knowledge of Excel for Data

• Work with Vendor Management to Add Suppliers in the System

• Frequently meets with internal company and external contacts to represent the organization on specific projects.

• Participate and contribute to departmental and company-wide process improvements and lean initiatives.

Qualifications:

• BS/BA Degree in Supply Chain or Business or AS/AA degree with a minimum of 2 years related experience.
• Knowledge in procurement, supply chain, and or material management processes.
• Experience in expediting and following-up.
• Experience with pulling and analyzing data from numerous sources.

• Experience with MRP Tools.
• Experience with The International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Excellent communication and written skills.
• PC skills in MS office, wth Word and Advanced Excel formats is essential.
• High ethical standards.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $85,000 - $111,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
