As a Boeing employee you’ll be part of a winning IT support team that does great things every day. Boeing Global Talent Acquisition is currently seeking a Senior Application Support Specialist to join their team in El Segundo, CA, Tukwila, WA, and Annapolis Junction, MD.
For this position the candidate will provide IT support for Engineering Applications to install, configure, update, and monitor software on dedicated Program Information Technology Infrastructure that is required to deliver products to our customers. Some of the applications being used on the program are: Cadence suite, Atlassian suite, DOORS, Cameo, and Siemens NX and Teamcenter, Solidworks suite, Autocad and Ansys.
The environment consists of multiple sites, multiple companies and networks with servers and High-Performance Computing Clusters running Red Hat Linux, and Windows Server in three main locations around the U.S. and growing.
Position Responsibilities:
Researches complex or multiple processes, applications, systems and data to identify functional requirements for application or system design.
Consults with customers to clarify and refine complex requirements.
Interprets and translates complex requirements into functional specifications.
Leads and performs activities to develop and execute tests to validate system functionality against specifications.
Works with others and researches processes, applications, systems and data to identify functional requirements for application or system design.
Interprets and translates highly complex requirements into functional specifications.
Leads and performs activities to develop and execute tests to validate system functionality against specifications.
Installs and maintains software on program systems.
Run Information Technology application projects on a dedicated proprietary network with minimal oversight.
Work directly with Integrated Product Team (IPT) leads to ensure the required software is provided to meet the program requirements and schedules.
This may include coordinating software purchases, software installations, software license servers, and security compliance adherence.
Perform a multi-disciplined range of application support activities to include:
Design, install, configure, troubleshoot and provide maintenance of software and components
Provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems
Develop solutions that are imaginative, thorough, practical, and consistent with organization objectives
Determine and develop approaches to solutions
Lead the completion of application projects
Interact frequently with inter-organizational personnel and external partners
Represent the organization by providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires a current Tier 5 (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) (U.S. Citizenship required) and have had an active Top Secret clearance within the last 24 months
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5+ years’ experience integrating software, databases, and operating system components into a functional system
5+ years’ experience working with Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) Integration in a Linux or Windows environment
Experience working within multi-disciplined teams to resolve business impacting computing issues
Possess an active 8570 IA Tier 2 certification (i.e. CompTIA security+)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with supporting System Engineering tools
Experience with supporting CAD tools & corresponding data management system
Experience with supporting Electrical design tools
Typical Education/Experience:
Typically 10 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Summary pay range: $118,150.00–$159,850.00
