CB&T, a division of Zions Bancorporation, has just opened an opportunity for a Collateral Monitoring Specialist in our Central Collateral Monitoring Group located in Los Angeles, CA. The work position offers a 3/2 hybrid work schedule.
Ideal candidates will have the skills and experience necessary to:
- Performs a variety of operational services to support the Asset Based Lending function.
- Reviews, analyzes and determines the legitimacy and accuracy of customer's data.
- Obtains additional information from customers and other banking departments on incomplete or unusual terms through telephone or written communications.
- Reviews loan documentation, establishes and maintains customer accounts in an Asset Based Lending Software System.
- Compares and records Financial Statement elements to the monthly/quarterly data received from the borrower.

- Works with various software applications and provides written trend analysis comments.
- Researches and resolves inquires and operational issues.
- Processes accounts receivable and inventory collateral transactions, including loan payments and advances.
- Maintains collateral and determines collateral eligibility for advances.
- Reviews accounts to help detect potentially fraudulent activity.
- Reconciles Demand Deposit Accounts to the collections reported by the borrower.
- Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
Knowledge:
- Advanced knowledge of Asset Based Lending, collateral processing procedures, bank operations, loan documentation and accounting processes and procedures.
- Broad application of asset based lending procedures, practices and systems.
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to examine/reconcile data and resolve complex issues.
- Advanced level mathematical skills including multi-step calculations using Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent customer service skills; ability to deal with internal and external customers.
- Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment.
Qualifications:
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field
- 6+ years’ experience analyzing complex accounts receivable and inventory collateral, loan documentation, asset based lending functions or other directly related experience.
- A combination of education and experience may meet requirements.
This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $75,000 to $85,000 annually depending on job-related factors such as level of experience and location.
