Job Abstract

Seeking an Occupational Therapist with a strong backgroundand clinical expertise in hand therapy with varying patient demographicsfrom adolescents to geriatrics. Primary functions are to provide applicable occupationaltherapy care for patients with various hand, wrist and elbow diagnoses ina fast paced outpatient setting. Major duties include: patient evaluation andtreatment including producing custom made splints and orthoses, electronicmedical record documentation, maintain expected productivity levels(including special assignments), special projects and duties as assigned.The primary function is patient care, unless otherwise specified.

More than 2 years of licensed OT experience qualifies for OT 2 title.

Salary range: 45.74-60.24 Hourly

Required:
California Occupational Therapy License
Current BCLS Certificate from AHA or ARC
Experience with handtherapy including production of custom made splints and orthoses.
Demonstrates ability to establish an appropriate treatment plan, select appropriate treatment techniques, assess the results based upon synthesis of all available information, and the patients' functional goals, with changes in the plan and timely discharge as indicated.
Ability to safely perform repetitive bending, stooping, sitting, squatting, walking, standing during 8-10 hr. day. Normal duties involve lifting (up to 35 pounds without equipment), transferring patients, and pushing wheelchairs up to 500 feet.
