The UCLA TIES (Training, Intervention, Education, and Services) for Families is an interdisciplinary program dedicated to optimizing the growth and development of foster/adoptive children, from birth to age 25, and their families. Services offered include training, assessments, individual therapy, support groups, and mentoring.groups, and mentoring.

With the guidance and direction of the UCLA TIES For Families Clinic Director, the Assistant Clinical Director will:

• Licensed psychologist in the state of California.
• Skill, knowledge, and experience with mental health treatment and intervention techniques for children (ages 0-21) and their parents
• Background in parent-child intervention with high-risk children
• Knowledge of normal child development, parenting, and child abuse/neglect
• Experience with Department of Mental Health billing and paperwork requirements
• Experience and skill in supervising masters and doctoral level clinical trainees
• Ability to speak clearly, concisely, and in an organized manner to audiences of various backgrounds and orientation
• Ability to function as an integral member of an interdisciplinary team
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology and issues regarding prenatal substance abuse and its impact on the child
• Experience providing evidence-based practices to children and families
• Skill in writing clearly to articular concepts and ideas in a logical manner
