Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The Technology Center for Genomics & Bioinformatics (TCGB) is seeking to hire a Lab Supervisor to lead their Single Cell Sequencing section. Primary duties include:

•Oversee technical and research development
•Directly supervise a team of researchers and lab personnel
•Collaborate with the Core Director to develop and implement new protocols and applications in Single Cell Sequencing (e.g. 10x single cell sample preparation, library construction, NGS, data analysis)
•Assist with the implementation of new assay/sequencing platforms and other laboratory development projects
•Lead new research initiatives and projects within the Core

Salary range: $55600.00-$110600.00 Annual

Job Qualifications

•Experience in single cell sequencing in an NGS core lab
•Strong background in the field of NGS technologies with a wide range of molecular biology skills, including DNA and RNA extraction, reverse transcription, in vitro transcription, PCR, and QRT-PCR
•Excellent time management and organization skills, with superb attention to detail
•Ability to mentor and coach; seeks opportunities to help others grow and become their best
•Ability to work outside of normal hours/shift
•PhD in molecular biology, genetics or biotechnology or an equivalent combination of education and experience is highly desirable
•Experience in supervising a team, including demonstrated ability in managing employee performance is a bonus
