Manager, Category Sales--National, Media and Entertainment - Ad Sales
This position will provide dedicated focus and collaboration with National Sales and Category and Client Development teams to drive new Enterprise Advertising business opportunities in emerging verticals and with client direct engagement and sales strategy.
What You’ll Do:
Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience
Development and coverage of target accounts and new business targets across the Enterprise footprint.
Assessment of top customer objections, industry myths and existing paradigms that are preventing potential clients from investing in multi platform and multi tactic solutions. Help in creation of compelling business case to use across categories/clients that are not active in this arena.
In-depth knowledge of client’s business and competitive categories and verticals.
Full review and in-depth understanding of available in-house and syndicated research, industry and market trends, as well as Spectrum Reach viewer, ratings and cross-platform business data to activate clients on air.
Partner and collaborate with all cross functional teams at Spectrum Reach to generate and execute business plans and strategies in order to generate revenue and achieve budget goals
Contributing in the creation and implementation of a national sponsorship sales strategy that is scalable across all Spectrum News markets.
Managing compliance across all systems and processes within all Spectrum markets, including:
Sponsorship value proposition
Positioning the brand for success within the national investment space
Coordinating and developing single source order entry solution for enterprise news footprint.
Reports directly to VP, Enterprise Sales while interacting closely cross functional teams in order to achieve assigned revenue budget
Working closely with Spectrum Network Marketing teams on multi platform sales sponsorship opportunities
Working with Spectrum Reach Research team on relevant positioning and sales opportunities

What We’re Looking For:
6+ years in related news media/advertising/sponsorship Sales with a proven successful track record of meeting and exceeding multi-million dollar sales goals.
Must bring unique strengths in the areas of strategic thinking, analytical capability coupled with business strategy
Proven track record of developing brand new customer partnerships through comprehensive CNAs and custom solutions.
Sales experience working with advertising agencies/media buying services and process involved in bringing clients to market across multiple media.
Deep knowledge of advertising infrastructure, ad operations, data analytics, yield analysis, advanced Digital media platforms, Interactive Media, client & relationship development.
Excellent organizational skills and analytical skills. Critical thinking, problem solving, and superior customer focus.
Cable and broadcast television experience preferred
Working knowledge of cable and broadcast advertising research tools
Bachelor’s Degree (BA) in Business, or equivalent combination of education and work experience
Evening client entertaining, often on nights and weekends required

The pay for this position has a salary range of $76,000.00 to $163,300.00. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses.In addition, this position has a commission earnings target starting at $67,026.3.
