Provides diagnostic assessments to individuals for potential of autism and other developmental disabilities, referral, and clinical consultation. Provides supervision of clinical psychological assistants, as needed. Works with Director of Diagnostic Assessments to ensure clinical, communication, quality, and service standards are maintained. Assures compliance to legal and ethical standards of practice.
This is a hybrid remote role; 60% in office and 40% work from home.
Starting salary: $125,000 annually
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1.Conducts assessments to determine a diagnosis of autism or other developmental disability utilizingstandardized assessment measures. 2.Schedules and conducts necessary testing appointments at clinic setting. 3.Provides feedback to clients and families regarding outcomes of diagnostic assessment with referrals, asappropriate. 4.Writes diagnostic reports and documents necessary details using electronic medical records accordingly.Ensures reports are submitted in timely manner according to expected due dates. 5.Supervises psychological assistants and trainees (as needed), provides ongoing evaluation of performance,and assures legal and ethical standards are upheld. 6.Works with other department clinicians, including the behavior assessment department, to participate inconsultation services. Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams on diagnostic evaluation and treatmentrecommendations. 7.Remains current regarding new research, current trends, and developments in autism and developmentaldisability diagnosis and related fields. Participates in presentations, conference attendance, article reviews,and research projects/initiatives as needed. 8.Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
EDUCATION:
Doctorate degree in Psychology at an APA accredited university, and prefer completion of Pre-DoctoralInternship; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Currently licensed by the State of California Board of Psychology.
EXPERIENCE:
5+ years of related professional experience managing or providing diagnostic assessment.
Supervisory experience preferred.
Familiar with field of autism, developmental disability, early intervention; knowledge of other resources andagencies that serve children.
Expertise in all empirically evaluated assessment and intervention strategies related to service delivery forindividuals with ASD.
Experience in delivery and management of clinical services within a multidisciplinary medical model is preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
Spanish speaking preferred.
Knowledge of Ethical Principles of Psychologists and code of conduct; working knowledge of legal mandates associated with working with protected populations.
Able to implement policies, procedures, and regulations.
Able to consistently demonstrate good judgment and decision-making skills.
Ability to maintain customer service orientation and professionalism in all interactions.
Strong, effective communication skills, both oral and written, to work cooperatively with all individuals and groups.
Ability to exercise discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality to manage sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) and related computer software.
Able to obtain and maintain a criminal record/fingerprint clearance from the Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigation per Easterseals Southern California and/or program requirements.
Ability to travel throughout Southern California as needed with own reliable transportation, maintain driving record in compliance with Transportation Safety Standards; must have and maintain proper auto insurance and registration.
Ability to pass post-offer medical examination and a TB test.
Ability to provide proof of required vaccinations or positive titer showing immunity. A signed declination may be acceptable for certain vaccinations.
