Sodexo is seeking a Registered Dietitian for a Clinical Nutrition Manager position at Huntington Hospital a 620 bed acute hospital located in Pasadena, CA.

Reporting to the General Manager, in this role you will:

• Be responsible for managing the Clinical Nutrition Department with clinical responsibilities including; serving on committees, managing an outstanding and experienced team of up to 17 Registered Dietitians, the diet office and work closely with the management team;

• Oversee care of the patient population ranging from NICU to geriatrics and the Registered Dietitians, a very strong team of specialists providing both inpatient and outpatient services;

• Serve as a strong leader for the Clinical Nutrition Services team, managing and providing clinical support to the team while working in conjunction with the team of Sodexo management;
• Be responsible for the provision, integrity, and integration of nutrition therapy services, as well as the leadership of individuals who implement these functions on a daily basis;
• Train, mentor and supervise the team of dietitians;
• Meet DOH/state/federal and company standards:
• Represent the Food & Nutrition Department as the primary liaison with the medical and nursing staff.

Is this opportunity right for you? The ideal candidate will have/be:

• A Registered Dietitian with management experience in acute care and at least 3 years as a lead dietitian or clinical nutrition manager;
• Able to work in a fast paced environment and manage multiple priorities and prior experience with room service is preferred
• A strong leader and have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written;
• The ability to creatively problem solve, work independently with minimal supervision and make decisions while working within a self-directed and team-oriented work environment;
• Excellent interpersonal skills to make every day a better day for our clients and residents;

Basic Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) (Note: For those seeking registration after 2023, a master’s degree will be required)

Basic Management Experience: 6 years experience of planning, managing and organizing resources within short/medium timeframes within the overall policy framework
Basic Functional Experience: 5 years as experienced specialized practitioner able to work unsupervised and provide professional supervision to specialists.

Credentials Requirement:

• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
• Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice
• Specialty credential in area(s) of focused management practice, as applicable
