What We Do
Prepares food to be served in the employee Cafe. Cooks meals based on established recipes and employee requests. Ensures meal quality and employee satisfaction.
What You'll Do:
- Inspect food preparation and serving areas to ensure observance of safe, sanitary food-handling practices.
- Assist in the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the café, kitchen, and all storage areas
- Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by café management.
- Portion and plate food that is served to customers.
What You'll Bring:
- Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills
- Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures
- Established verbal communication skills.
- Be able to speak, read, and understand basic cooking directions
- Physical ability to bend, reach, stoop and lift up to 40 pounds
- Ability to stand for the duration of each shift
- Must be able to greet and serve customers unsupervised
Typical Education
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
Typical Range of Experience
- 0-2 years previous professional kitchen experience required
Pay Range: $14.90- $19.80 Hourly
This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
