Keck Medicine of USC Advancement is seeking an Administrative Assistant. Under the direction of the Executive Director of Development for the Office of Alumni Relations and Medical Education fundraising team, the Administrative Assistant I will provide administrative assistance through functions such as planning, organizing, coordinating, scheduling, and implementing project activities and events to meet objectives. The Office of Alumni Relations and Medical Education, oversees and manages the alumni relations program and fundraising activity for medical education at the Keck School of Medicine of USC.
Essential job duties include, but not limited to:
Plan, coordinate, and attend events, meetings, or other activities as requested
Assist in the administration and coordination of a variety of administrative, academic, clinical, and education tasks and projects. Identify, cultivate, and steward donors and volunteers.
Research, gather, organize, enter, reconcile, and summarize data for administrative and/or project reports and/or activities.
Collaborate with development officers to share information on events and engagement opportunities.
Conduct quality assurance reviews of assigned projects.
Promote an environment that fosters inclusive relationships and creates unbiased opportunities for contributions through ideas, words, and actions that uphold principles of the USC Code of Ethics.
Work effectively on multiple projects, set priorities, and maintain schedules.
Attend professional meetings and seminars to enhance professional competence.
Able to coordinate work with variety of people, including student and community volunteers, university officials, professional recruiters, and potential donors.
Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. The University reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.
This job requires occasional varying hours, including nights and weekends, to best fit the schedules of our philanthropic partners
Job Qualifications:
Associate's degree or combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education.
Minimum of 2 years of work experience/education in secretarial or specialized clerical, including some administrative experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree
2 years of experience with leadership in volunteer organizations and/or fundraising
Excellent written and verbal skills
Sound judgment and decision making
Diplomacy: ability to cultivate and maintain relationships
Practices a high level of integrity and honesty in maintaining confidentiality
Demonstrated ability to work independently with little supervision
Willing to follow safety protocols related to COVID-19 (i.e., wearing a mask)
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, OneDrive), Zoom, social media and Google Drive

The hourly rate range for this position is $22.01 - $26.68.
