Job Abstract

The Mailman MPH student will work on creating the SisterWeb 2023-2024 Fiscal Year Impact Report. From preparing data, writing the report outline, and communicating with various stakeholders, the student will manage the report development process from start to finish. The goal of the project is to publish findings from SisterWeb's 2023-2024 Fiscal Year Impact Data in the form of a digital report. We want to tell audiences how SisterWeb community doulas center and uplift Black mothers, birthing people, and families in San Francisco. We also want to share SisterWeb's accomplishments and lessons learned.

The objectives of the project are to grow knowledge and understanding of who SisterWeb is through our rich data and heartfelt testimonials. This is a creative and holistic opportunity for (current and potential) clients, staff, community partners, donors, and supporters to be up to date on all our amazing work throughout the Fiscal Year. We will leverage the 2023-2024 Fiscal Year Impact Report to support SisterWeb's four goals: Goal 1: SisterWeb nurtures a skilled workforce of Community Doulas who see birth work as a viable profession. Goal 2: SisterWeb’s culturally congruent, holistic doula care supports Black pregnant and birthing people in achieving their own birth goals. Goal 3: SisterWeb engages in the national movement to eliminate structural racism in healthcare systems as a driver of birth inequities. Goal 4: SisterWeb expands and strengthens its operational effectiveness and organizational sustainability.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Coordinate communication with graphic designer, research best practices for Fiscal Year reporting, discuss what's most important to highlight in report with leadership team and community doulas.
• Utilize Asana project management software to track project tasks and progress.
• Understand SisterWeb data collection process and performance measures.
• Export, clean, and calculate Fiscal Year data.
• Identify Report elements.
• Prepare dissemination strategy for Report with communications coordinator.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Attend weekly check in meetings with preceptor.
• Attend weekly check in meetings with communications and evaluations intern team.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with quantitative data management and analysis.
• Experience using Excel, Canva, and Zoom.
• Experience with interdisciplinary collaboration, professional email communication.

• Current Mailman Master of Public Health (MPH) student
