Educational Talent Search (ETS) provides students with the necessary support services to pursue a higher education. Our goal is to ensure that scholars are ready for college, with as many postsecondary options as possible. ETS is a federally funded TRIO program designed primarily to assist low-income and potential first-generation college students with enrolling and preparing to succeed in college, at the following Anaheim Union High School District (AUHSD) schools: Anaheim High School, Katella High School, Loara High School, Magnolia High School, Savanna High School, and Western High School.
Under the supervision of the Director, the Senior Coordinator plays a pivotal role in the development of the program's comprehensive activities, including student and family programming, events, field trips, alumni engagement, and post-secondary attainment support. Throughout the academic year, the Senior Coordinator supports the team with extensive college access curriculum to be implemented across the target schools; development and logistical planning of educational field trips to colleges, universities, cultural institutions, and other relevant sites to broaden participants exposure to educational and career opportunities; coordinate and execute various events, including but not limited to, educational workshops and senior award ceremony. The Senior Coordinator is responsible for tracking and outreach to program alumni in efforts to increase post-secondary attainment in line with program objectives. The Senior Coordinator will use data to prepare reports demonstrating program effectiveness and student progress.

Essential Duties
Support ETS Director with preparing Annual Performance Report submitted to the U.S. Department of Education.
Assist with monitoring and ensuring positive progress towards program objectives -secondary school persistence, secondary school graduation, post-secondary education enrollment and attainment.
Develop, implement, and evaluate a wide range of programming initiatives aimed at supporting student success, academic achievement, and college readiness.
Collaborate with team members to plan, coordinate, and execute various events, workshops, and activities aligned with program objectives.
Design and arrange educational field trips to colleges, universities, cultural institutions, and other relevant sites to broaden participants’ exposure to educational opportunities.
Track and analyze progress if program alumni to identify strategies that increase post-secondary school attainment.
Prepare comprehensive reports on program effectiveness, participant progress, and success metrics.
Liaise with educational institutions, community partners, and stakeholders to organize engaging and informative events for program participants.

Qualifications
Minimum two (2) years of experience working with students or educational programs geared towards college-readiness and awareness.
Minimum one (1) year of experience providing supervision and accountability for the work of others.
Experience planning and conducting workshops, implementing academic advising initiatives, coordinating field trips and special events, and providing information about higher education.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively communicate with diverse constituencies.
Must be able to work independently and take initiative.
Demonstrated organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
Proficiency working with computers and popular software packages.
Experience working with parents/guardians of high school-aged youth.
Training working with low-income students, potential first-generation college students, or student with disabilities.
Experience in overcoming disadvantages of circumstances like those of the population in the target area, preferred.
Ability to travel to school sites, community locations, events.
Valid California Driver’s License and proof of current automobile insurance coverage.
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, or a related field.
Masters degree, preferred.
