Job Abstract

Amazon is seeking a Senior International Tax Manager to provide international business tax support for both new and on-going launches and initiatives for the Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios businesses.

We offer customers thousands of popular titles, from award-winning Amazon Originals to exciting live sports events. Prime Video is a rapidly expanding and ever-growing business available today in over 240 countries and territories worldwide. Amazon MGM Studios is the Film and Television development and production arm that creates our Amazon Originals programming. Over the past 6 years, Amazon Studios have debuted award-winning and ground-breaking programming like The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Jack Ryan, The Boys, and Carnival Row.

This position will be part of a team that works closely with business partners, finance, and members of the corporate tax department to evaluate and provide tax-efficient planning advice on business transactions, restructurings, and television and film and television production incentives strategy. This is a senior role responsible for ensuring that the businesses are well advised on the tax impact of their activities, and that the relevant tax technical analysis on the US and local country tax impacts of such activities are properly documented in order to support our reporting, compliance, and on-going tax controversy analysis.

A successful candidate will have in-depth tax technical knowledge in evaluating and advising on international business initiatives and proposals. The candidate will possess an ability to influence members of cross-functional teams, communicate business plans, obtain tax subject matter input, ensure coordination and execution of cross-functional tax solutions in a sustainable manner, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, and results-oriented environment.

- 12+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 10+ years of tax experience with a significant amount of time providing technical guidance experience
- Knowledge of U.S. federal and international tax provisions with an understanding of or practical experience with tax laws in other countries

- Experience within a multinational business and either legal or accountancy firm experience
- Experience liaising with tax authorities including responding to audits and information requests
- J.D.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $247,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
