Job Abstract

Under administrative direction, supervises and participates in issuing citations for vehicles in violation of the municipal parking ordinances. Assists in the preparation of the work schedules and assignment of routes to parking enforcement officers. Requests the impounding of vehicles which are illegally parked, abandoned, or listed on the impound list. As required, testifies in court on behalf of unit on a contested parking matter. Trains subordinates in proper use of motorized equipment and in the interpretation of parking ordinances and regulations. Performs all duties required of Parking Enforcement Officers. Prepares daily accident and incident reports. Enforces divisional policies and procedures. Assigns vehicles to divisional personnel. Performs other job-related duties as required. This position is of a managerial nature.

A High School Diploma or GED is required. Three years of full time paid Parking Enforcement experience is required. One year of supervisory experience is also required. A valid State of Ohio Driver's License is required. Must be able to work in all types of weather. Must have a good driving record and must comply with a ten year background check.
