Job Summary

The Thomson Lab has an opening for a Research Technician with a strong background in machine learning, neural computation, applied math and computer science.

Essential Job Duties

• Work with PhD students in developing paradigms for studying the dynamics of language use and communication within populations of large language model agents.
• Assist in the development and scaling of code for implementing language games within this context.
• Develop mathematical strategies and code for studying internal representations of language and reasoning within individual and communicating language models. 

Basic Qualifications

• BS degree.
• One year of relevant work experience.
• Experience with Python, Pytorch, Adam Optimizer and neural network theory.
