Job Abstract

Quanex is looking for a F&A Intern to join our team located in Akron, Ohio.

The F&A Intern will support the accounting team with several key projects that will provide real-time corporate experience to a college student interested in careers in Finance and/or Accounting.

This internship opportunity is for Summer 2024.

What Success Looks Like:

• Practice accounting knowledge and skills in a professional setting
• Assist Accountants and other financial professionals with day-to-day responsibilities
• Support accounting teams with various accounting projects and tasks
• Perform research on technical accounting matters, as they arise
• May rotate between accounting and finance departments
• Responsible for attending work on time and for scheduled hours each day
• Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned

Your Credentials:

• In the process of completing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting or finance
• Have completed introductory accounting courses and have a basic understanding of financial principles
• Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-oriented, dynamic and changing environment
• Ability to pay close attention to detail
• Must possess a strong customer service orientation with high sense of urgency in meeting goals and deadlines
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

The position will be paid hourly and the hourly rate is aligned with the intern’s academic experience.
