Under the leadership of the R&Q Senior Research and Quality Operations Manager, this Analyst position supports operationalization and optimization of the ANCC Quality Management System (using the QMS framework of ISO 9001:2015, and the QT 9 QMS system of online records) and ANA Enterprise quality support ensuring its effectiveness in meeting the requirements and standards of ISO 9001:2015 for operational excellence. The Analyst promotes cross-functional collaboration between different departments to ensure a holistic approach to quality improvement. The technical analyst will rapidly become well-versed in the requisite knowledge, vocabulary and taxonomy of ISO 9001:2015 quality standards and processes, the comprehensive ANCC Quality Manual guide, and the technical language pertaining to and including continual improvement, risk-based thinking, and documents management terminology. The Analyst, with the Quality team, will support in establishing benchmarking standards, guidelines and best practices for policies, processes and practices that occur within, among and between departments. The Analyst will be involved in developing and monitoring data analytics informing and impacting key performance indicators (KPIs), using the BI reporting tools in QT 9 supporting KPIs.
Key Accountabilities
/ What you will do:Quality Improvement and Operational Excellence. Keep current on corrective and preventive actions, improvement opportunities (collectively termed CAPA) and is primarily engaged in assisting with their identification and verifying solutions for their closure as issues. Supports management and applications of ANCC's Quality Management System (QMS) including processes relevant to maintaining ISO 9001:2015 certification for all of ANCC's credentialing programs. Works collaboratively with department staff especially the Quality Analyst, to trend data longitudinally, identify areas of noncompliance especially opportunities for improvement focusing on increasing efficiency, consistency and standardization of processes and documenting instructions in common across departments, and develops strategies that can be applied at various scales, small and large, across ANCC programs and to extend where possible to the other ANA Enterprise entities, ANA and the ANA Foundation. Assists in monitoring, documenting, verifying and resolution of noncompliance of processes resulting from negative audit findings and those issues and improvements identified by departments or auditors. Quality Improvement and Technical Internal Customer Support In collaboration with the ANCC's Quality team members, supports development and execution of various surveys such as ANCC surveys to meet ISO 9001:2015 standards; ANA Enterprise surveys to evaluate support departments; and internal surveys to assess department-level collaboration often across the numerous departments at ANCC. Supports analysis of data and preparation of reports for managers and leadership. Supports quality improvement and customer-support/customer-service initiatives within the ANA Enterprise to support promoting ANA Enterprise values and strategic goals (e.g., use of the RASCI responsibility assignment matrix, apply SMART goals, program evaluation measures, and so forth). ISO 9001:2015 Requirements. Focus on maintenance and sustainability of the QMS through quality improvements. The Quality Improvement Analyst supports the process of maintaining ISO 9001:2015 certification for all ANCC credentialing programs and departmental teams and builds strong relationships with departments' staff to support continual quality improvement initiatives in ANCC and across the ANA Enterprise. This Analyst supports external/internal audit processes related to ANCC's QMS, including sometimes working with a team of internal auditors for ANCC's internal audit process, and supports the improvement of ANCC's document management systems for ANCC and the ANA Enterprise as applicable. The Analyst demonstrates and promotes the enterprise vision, mission, and values. As appropriate, the Analyst may assist with enculturation of new staff to applications of quality Improvement, familiarizing them with relevant materials, documents and processes. Education:Baccalaureate required or master's degree preferred, or equivalent specialized work experience required. Likely fields of study: technical and quantitative such as science, life science or social science. Certification in quality management, PMP, Lean or Six Sigma or the like is ideal (or willingness to obtain such training). Related Work Experience:Two (2) years relevant quality standards experience. Experience in coordinating complex projects and concurrent task coordination requiring significant attention to detail. Must have strong, positive and collaborative interpersonal skills and work ethic, some coaching skills ability is a plus, and work independently as well as part of a team. Experience gathering information and data (including developing tools for this purpose, such as spreadsheets, outlines, and lists), and with developing appropriate action plans and approaches to address. Management of files in a complex environment, using Teams, MS-Office 365, Outlook and other commonly available software. Familiarity with a fast-paced office-work environment with changing priorities. Ability to work and communicate effectively in a hybrid office environment. Preferred
