Job Description
Essential Job Functions:
Assist in developing, coaching and motivating recycling coordinators in order to achieve Company’s objectives.
Assist in developing outreach strategies that garner results.
Responsible for generating sales opportunities by identifying appropriate business targets
Work closely with direct reports to develop excellent relationships with customers
Work closely with direct reports to find new business opportunities IE sweeping, pressure washing, other locations outside the City of LA
Responsible for gathering, interpreting and informing executive management on reports and results
Assist in developing and implementing sales action plan based on goals and objectives as set forth by management
Assists Coordinators with creating and conducting proposal presentations
Conducts reviews with all Coordinators to build more effective communications, understand training and development needs, and provide insight for the improvement of sales and activity performance
Provides timely feedback to senior management regarding performance of the team
Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team
Develop individuals professionally and identify career path opportunities
Work cross functionally with other departments: Customer Service, Operations, Finance, Collections, etc.
Required Qualifications:
3+ years of sustainability experience or equivalent.
Effective communication skills across various levels of the organization, with customers, and with government regulatory agencies
Valid CA driver’s license and clean driving record
Ability to prepare and interpret productivity and/or sales reports, correspondences, and service agreements; also must be able to analyze and interpret procedural guidelines regarding operations, maintenance, and safety.
Strong user skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), MS-Outlook.
Displays professionalism in behaviors and attitudes both in and out of the work environment.
Ability to often travel to surrounding Los Angeles City and County areas
Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations
Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual (i.e. Spanish, Korean, Chinese, etc.)
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field
Industry background in waste management, recycling, environmental, or related service industry
Experience in CRM Databases (i.e. Softpak) and sales related software (i.e. Salesforce)
Certification, training, and experience in recycling and materials management
LEED Green Associate Certification
