Peacock Theater hosts over 120 music, family, dance and comedy acts, award shows, televised productions, conventions and product launches with over 500,000 guests passing through the doors annually. The 7,100-seat theater offers guests mid-sized intimacy, with no seat further from the stage than 220 feet. Peacock Theater offers 12,000 square feet of VIP & hospitality areas, 10 dressing rooms and state of the art technology making it is a favorite indoor venue for performers and fans alike. Peacock Theater, a 7,100-seat live theatre, is centrally located within L.A. LIVE, a 4 million square foot / $3 billion downtown Los Angeles sports and entertainment district adjacent to Crypto.com Arena and the Los Angeles Convention Center also featuring a 2,300 capacity live music venue, a 54-story, 1001-room convention “headquarters” destination (featuring The Ritz-Carlton, Los Angeles and JW Marriott Los Angeles at L.A. LIVE hotels and 224 luxury condominiums – The Ritz-Carlton Residences at L.A. LIVE – all in a single tower) , the GRAMMY Museum, the 14-screen Regal Cinemas L.A. LIVE theatre, broadcast facilities for ESPN along with entertainment, residential, restaurant and office space, along with Peacock Place and the 20,000+ square feet of LED signage within the entertainment district.
Job Summary:
The Security Department’s team is responsible for the safety and security of Crypto.com Arena and Peacock Theater’s guests, team members, and assets at all times.
This position is open to current Crypto.com Arena/Peacock Theater part-time Security Officer I's.

Key Job Factors:
1. Event Security Officer - 55% Daily
- Ensure enforcement and compliance of the venue’s Event Policies at all times including oversight of visitor management, credential enforcement and Security entry screening processes.
- Assist with directional and informational inquiries.
- Take direction from Supervisors and provide direction to Officer 1’s during Emergency Response and assist guests by providing direction and feedback.
- Conduct patrols of the building on a regular basis.
- Utilize radios for communicating incidents.
- Respond to all security and safety related issues in a timely manner.
- Respond to incidents and compile information for Supervisors.
- Perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature, without the loss of efficiency or composure.
- Use excellent customer service skills when interacting with guests, clients, and staff.
- Complete all assigned tasks within the guidelines and deadlines set by Security Managers and Supervisors.
- Comply with all legal and ethical instructions given by Event Security Managers and Supervisors.
- Ability to memorize, recollect and quickly relay relevant information when requested.
- Ability to interact effectively and calmly with angry or emotional guests and staff during intensely aggravated circumstances.
- Ability to maintain guest, team member, and company confidentiality.
- Have full knowledge of 24/7 Security Operations to include but not limited to: Ramp Procedures, Administrative Office Procedures, Command Center Procedures, Non-Event access control etc.
- Understand and operate Crypto.com Arena and Peacock Theater’s security systems (Genetec, 24/7 Incident Command, Fire Alarm System, AVTEC Dispatch, C-Cure Access Control, Visitor Management, Ramp Bollards and Access Gate, X-Ray Machine etc.).
- Fill- In for Non-Event open shifts as needed.
- Be able to be utilized as an experienced resource in a sensitive and/or high-profile area/post during any event as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
2 Staff Training, 15% Bi-Monthly
- Assist with Department hiring during the new hire orientation training by being a Coach.
- Assist with training of new Security Officers during On The Job training by being a Coach.
3. Intradepartmental Needs – 10% Daily
- Promote ENCORE|LA by becoming an ENCORE|LA advocate for its core principles and values.
4. Interdepartmental Communications – 10% Daily
- Complete all required trainings assigned via Human Resources in a timely manner.
5. Time Management – 10% Daily
- Complete Rest/Meal breaks in accordance with California Labor Laws.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum education level of: High School Diploma or its equivalency.
- A minimum of 1-2 years of related work experience.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills.
- 4. Ability to perform calmly under pressure.
- Ability to provide clear communication and support to Security Team Members, Supervisors Management, Venue Tenants and Team Personnel.
- Willingness to accept greater responsibility and accountability.
- Work honestly and effectively with moderate supervision.
- Must demonstrate the ability to perform the job duties of Security Officer I.
- Must have a good record of attendance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPR / AED / First Aid training.
Work Conditions:
- Tasks are performed with moderate supervision.
- Walking and standing occurs 90% of the time.
- Speaking, walking, running, lifting, listening and visual observations occur continuously.
- Some tasks may require team members to come in contact with hazardous chemicals.
- Team members should use precautions and follow safety guidelines.
Employee must maintain a neat, well-groomed and professional appearance that conveys professionalism at all times, whether in the office or out of the office.
Employee must represent Peacock Theater and/or Crypto.com Arena and the Security Department in an exemplary manner.
