The SoCal Global Design Center is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join their Project Engineering Integration team in Long Beach, CA.
Our ideal candidate must be motivated and passionate about leading and working on engineering projects. You will be working on Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) production programs, Seal Beach Customer Support,Boeing Research & Technology (BR&T) and/or Defense Space and Security (BDS) Programs.
Position Responsibilities:
Lead complex engineering programs and/or projects from kick-off to completion
Lead, plan, identify and coordinate multiple skilled resources (e.g. internal, external and customers) required over the life of the project or program
Break statement of work down into executable tasks
Compare actual results to baseline plan to assess project performance, efficiency, productivity, lessons learned and performance metrics
Interpret, analyze and organize complex technical problems, concepts and solutions across multiple disciplines and levels of management
Identify and capture changes to statement of work
Identify risks, issues, opportunities and corrective actions to improve project or team performance
Work outside of traditional comfort zones where process definition does not exist or is unclear
Exhibit excellent technical, written and verbal communication skills
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Long Beach, CA.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
6+ years of experience in the Aerospace Industry experience
2+ years of experience in engineering project planning or project management
Able and willing to travel domestically 20% of the time
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience working for the Boeing Co.
1+ years of experience creating standardized documentation and processes.
1+ years of experience mentoring and developing junior Project Engineers.
Experience with systems engineering practices (requirements definition, risk identification and management, fault tree generation, FMECA, etc.).
Project Management Certification (i.e. PMP)
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
