Job Abstract

Emergency technician at Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills, CA. This position is full-time and will work 12-hour Night Shifts.

Under the general supervision of the Emergency Department Nurse Manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, or Resource Nurse, performs basic emergency medical/trauma procedures and patient care as directed. Demonstrates proficiency in delivering care to assigned age-specific patient population (e.g., infants, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, pediatrics), and participates in related continuing education.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training - Completion of EMT-1 Training program. Or equivalent educ/experience,
  • Clinical experience.
• Coursework/Training - MOAB I / II within 30 to 150 days of hire.
• California Emergency Medical Technician License upon hire. Or,
• California Emergency Medical Technician Advanced License upon hire. Or,
• California Paramedic License upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) - National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians
• 1 year - Patient care or clinical experience.
• Experience in an emergency room setting.
