The Associate Director is part of the Technical Operations team, managing and leading a team focusing on investigations, deviation management, process optimization, and production support. Works closely with the manufacturing team to ensure the continuation of our manufacturing process.
What you will do:
Management and leadership of the support team including:
Manage, and lead the Technical Operations team to support the production of cell therapy products
Performance management, talent management of direct reports
Solve problems of high complexity and lead the team to establish standardized approaches.
Investigate and resolve problems (deviations, CAPA's)
Identify and implement process improvements including change management
Drives continuous improvements using lean, Six Sigma principles.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum BS degree required in biological sciences, engineering, or biotechnology/life sciences
Minimum 5 years of work experience in clinical or commercial biologics or cell therapy manufacturing under cGMP.
3 years prior supervisory or management experience
Knowledgeable of the current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s)
Strong people management skills, coaching, motivating, and building a team.
Sufficient understanding of processes, systems, and equipment to troubleshoot problems and provide solutions
Capable of identifying areas of improvement and leading change.
