About This Role: The functions of this job are administrative and customer service related, but for the right candidate, this is also an excellent training opportunity to learn the fundamentals of Housing. We are seeking a candidate with experience operating standard office equipment and the ability to multitask in a busy and fast-paced environment. Incumbent will also be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships, while effectively communicating both orally and in writing. Practicing appropriate safety protocols, the incumbent will provide in person assistance to clients, explaining housing services. The position performs a wide variety of duties including filing, maintaining databases, word processing, answering phones and sorting mail. Experience with data entry and handling of confidential information
Experience using HAPPY or other public housing software
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as the ability to multi-task and successfully prioritize their workload
Notary Public for the Commonwealth of Virginia or the ability to become a certified Notary Public
Bi-lingual ability in Spanish and English
Special Requirements: Notary Public certification or willing to obtain certification. Work Schedule: Full-time; 37.5 hours weekly Monday to Friday, between the hours of 8:00am- 5:00pm at the AJ Ferlazzo Building. No telework options for this position.
Starting Salary Range: $24.82 – $30.45.
