Job Summary

Under the direction of an administrator assist a certificated teacher or specialist in providing instruction to individuals or small groups of students with a variety of mental, emotional and physical handicaps in a special education learning environment; monitor and report student progress regarding behavior and performance; perform a variety of clerical duties as assigned. OPENING DETAILS: -Monday-Friday, 6 hours per day (.75 FTE) -Work hours: 8:00 am - 2:30 pm, including a 30 minute unpaid lunch LOCATION: Muir Middle School SALARY RANGE: 38 **New District Employees will start at Step 1. Exceptions of placement based on relevant experience pending approval. **

Requirements / Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and one year experience working with school age children in an organized setting. * PLEASE INCLUDE EXPERIENCE RELATED TO THIS POSITION ON YOUR APPLICATION OR RESUME, IT IS REQUIRED FOR SCREENING PURPOSES. INCLUDING CURRENT DISTRICT EMPLOYEES.* LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Successful completion of the State-mandated proficiency examination.

Proof of HS Graduation (Copy of GED/HS diploma or HS transcripts with graduation date/ or copy of degree or transcripts with date degree awarded)
