Preventative Maintenance Technician
Our client is a 40 year young leading provider of electronic manufacturing services(EMS), design engineering and supply chain solutions in the high-tech industrial, medical device, and aerospace/defense markets. They are looking for Preventative Maintenance technician Level I for their Chatsworth location. In this role, you will provide hands-on preventive maintenance and basic repairs on production and equipment.
Location: Chatsworth, CA Salary: $18.00 - 22.00/hr (DOE) This is a full time, temp-to-hire position Company benefits: Comprehensive benefit package.
Responsibilities:
Provide hands-on preventive maintenance and basic repairs on production and equipment.
Equipment includes: thermal chambers, SMT and PCBA assembly equipment, microelectronics manufacturing equipment, microscopes, soldering irons, and environmental screening equipment.
Maintain the PM log and update it once jobs have been completed.
Respond to work requests as assigned and make updates once completed.
Ensure on-time completion of preventive maintenance tasks.
Respond to equipment issues during business hours and work overtime if needed.
Assist with building and work space relocations when needed.
Ensure all work is performed in a safe manner and follows equipment and site procedures, including Lockout-Tagout.
Support all corporate and site Kaizen/5S objectives.
Requirements:
High School Diploma /GED or equivalent experience
Valid Permanent Resident or Citizen of the United States of America
Good hands-on understanding of how manufacturing equipment functions mechanical, electrical, etc.
3+ years of experience in manufacturing operations maintenance preferred.
Good mechanical background, ability, and knowledge to use a wide range of hand and power tools.
Communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
Self-starter that can complete basic jobs without supervision.
Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities.
Physical requirements: Must be able to grasp, push, pull, reach, twist, sit, walk, bend, squat, reach or stand for long periods of time.
Lift up to 50 lbs.
Fluency in English Language- able to Read, write and speak.
