Responsibilities
The Technical Trainer will instruct various training courses and work on a wide variety of training-related projects. Training environments and programs are primarily custom-developed using a team approach involving other SMEs and instructional Designers and delivered via Canvas LMS.
Provide mentorship through training technicians in various skills, and employment levels while adhering to all OSHA regulations and Safety Guidelines.
Help to ensure that training materials and programs are current, accurate, and effective by providing technical expertise in the team setting to guide curriculum content.
Help in identifying training opportunities such as operational changes or industry developments.
Conduct or facilitate required and recommended training sessions.
Maintain knowledge of new methods and techniques for training, and training requirements applicable to the organization and/or industry.
Ensure equipment, materials, and tools are operational and available for every training session.
Conduct weekly classroom and laboratory maintenance, upkeep, and inventory.
Oversee the daily activities of training participants.
Communicate with local Service Managers, Trainees, and Training Coordinator for tri-weekly mentorship and ride-along verification of attendance and performance.
Support training attendees and their respective technical training coaches.
Provide weekly training performance health and general course completion updates.
Lead workshops and kick-off calls with training candidates.
Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
10 years experience in light commercial refrigeration and HVAC/R.
Training or educational certification a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
