Job Abstract

Key Role:

Research, design, develop, and modify enterprise–wide systems or applications software from tactical edge to cloud. Work as a member of a system development team and become involved in application development, system development, unit testing, and deployment tasks. Maintain responsibility for meeting software compliance standards. Evaluate the interface between hardware and software, operational requirements, and characteristics of the overall system. Document the testing and maintenance of system corrections. Develop solutions to routine technical problems.

Basic Qualifications: 

• 3+ years of experience with application development in Java or C#

• Experience with Java technologies, including J2EE, Swing, and XML

• Experience with Protobuf or JSON and REST or SOAP APIs

• Experience with designing and implementing unit and functional tests

• Ability to obtain a security clearance

• Bachelor’s degree

Additional Qualifications: 

• Experience implementing microservices and containerized development, including Docker or Kubernetes

• Experience with Data Distribution Service, RabbitMQ, Kafka, or middleware message bus technologies

• Experience working in an Agile development environment

• Experience working with Jira

• Knowledge of common military data formats, including MIL-STD-6016 or Link16, MIL-STD-6017 or VMF, and UCI

• Ability to work independently with a remote team

• Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Secret clearance
