Job Title: Business Analyst

Introduction to Role:

Are you ready to make a significant impact in the world of technology and healthcare? We are seeking a Business Analyst to join our IT team at AstraZeneca. This role involves performing business analysis and design either alone delivering small to medium size business change activities or as a part of the BA team in a large or global business change. The Business Analyst will partner with Sr. Business Partners/Business Partners, taking responsibility to deliver high quality cases, business process designs and ensure that proposed solutions meet established AstraZeneca quality and compliance standards and business solution needs.

Accountabilities:

As a Business Analyst, you will be encouraged to understand and prioritize business requirements from multiple customers, interpret business requirements and simplify them for easy analysis, solution design and decision making. You will provide insight & innovation to projects within your specialist area, aligning to AZ IT strategy and working with AZ IT partners. You will also facilitate and lead design sessions with the business and implementation team to identify functional and technical requirements. Your role will involve defining project scope and goals for small projects that deliver or support delivery of effective solutions. You will also be responsible for presenting with the relevant customers and transfer relevant knowledge to delivery teams.

Essential Skills/Experience:

- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience
- Shown experience of successfully deploying a variety of business analysis tools/techniques to enable business change
- Shown experience of successfully managing IT projects end to end, both waterfall and agile
- Demonstrable experience of working with sophisticated coordinated systems, using creative and critical thinking to deliver outstanding results
- Strong engagement, communication and customer management skills, including excellent presentation and influencing skills 
- Experience of working in a regulated environment
- Experience of virtual teamwork to lead, shape and develop innovative solutions
- Experience of mentoring, coaching or developing others
- Experience of working with and managing third party suppliers/vendors

Desirable Skills/Experience:

- Degree or equivalent experience in relevant field or formal certification in business analysis practice
- LEAN Six SIGMA training
- Practical usage of Agile Methodology
- Experience of working in a global organisation with complex/geographical context
- Pharmaceutical business awareness/business domain knowledge
- Cross industry business awareness/business domain knowledge
- Experience in Cell Therapy setting
