Scheduling Manager
Pay Details:
The annual base salary range for this position in California is $72,000 to $90,000 per year. The starting pay for the successful candidate depends on various job-related factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, education/training, internal value, peer equity, external market demands, and organizational considerations.
The Scheduling Manager is responsible for leading initiatives to improve scheduling and time recording functions throughout the department. This Manager works closely with cross-divisional partners to establish and enforce policies and procedures within the organization, maintain and review scheduling needs for the operation, and drive initiatives to improve scheduling and time recording functions. This Manager oversees the Scheduling Coordinators and ensures proper system tracking of time and attendance and scheduling-related records. The Scheduling Manager enforces all applicable labor laws and company practices.

Responsibilities
- Establish and develop department standards as the subject matter expert on scheduling and employee deployment within and across the organization
- Maintain and manage the time recording process and attendance policies
- Analyze, forecast, and report workforce needs based on operational demands to minimize labor costs and maximize labor force
- Lead initiatives that improve the scheduling and time recording functions across multiple platforms
- Improve processes by leveraging technology to drive workforce management
- Support and assist the organization in all recruitment and retention efforts such as job fairs, general hiring, onboarding of new hires, development roadmap, and employee surveys
- Partner with Human Resources to ensure all organizational policies, procedures, and practices are maintained per labor laws
- Manage the Scheduling Coordinators team
- Develop and maintain a strong relationship with department clients (i.e., F&B Department Heads)
- Ensure departmental schedules are compiled on time and per budgeted labor allocations per event
- Review and manage the Availability and Request for Time Off (RTO) process
- Ensure availability requirements are established to meet operational demands
- Manage the employee time-off request process and ensure requests are recorded and granted based on operational needs
- Ensure employee records are appropriately maintained within our primary scheduling system
- Partner with the Payroll team to confirm time records are accurately processed
- Manage and reconcile CA Paid Sick Leave balances, track time and attendance infractions, and help support the tracking of training completion/certifications
- Provide oversight with the completion of Risk Management-related documentation and follow-up as needed
- Support workplace accommodations with management oversight
- Oversee and manage par levels for the uniform room
- Support uniform ordering, distribution, and tracking
- Help to foster a work environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect, and employee satisfaction
- Other responsibilities and tasks as assigned by Honda Center Food and Beverage Leadership team
Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred; High School diploma required
- Minimum of 2-3 years working in a high-volume scheduling environment
- Minimum of 1-2 years experience in a management capacity
- Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, required
- Proficiency with Timekeeping systems strongly recommended; ABI Mastermind preferred
- Self-starter; proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement
- Exceptional organizational and planning skills with close attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal, oral, communication, and written skills
- Must be able to interact with other team members in a practical, supportive, and respectful manner
- Must be able to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays as needed
- Must be able to work in fluctuating temperatures
