Job Abstract

General Responsibilities:
This position will participate in field and laboratory testing of sites to identify any physical or environmental risks. Perform and assist in field investigations of buildings for asbestos and other regulated building materials, airborne chemical monitoring, noise monitoring, indoor air quality, and Phase I preliminary site assessments. Participation in develop of sampling strategies and outline required analysis. Evaluate sampling results. Prepare and assist in drafting survey reports and develop recommendations to correct and improve the environment.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

• Performs and assists in sampling or testing as directed.
• Provides assistance to other field personnel.
• Transports equipment, specimens, media or documents to field personnel, laboratory, clients or other offices, and provides physical assistance in equipment set-up.
• Assists other technicians or professional staff on routine tasks.
• Will be placed in a progressively increased role of training and responsibility in work assignments.
• Attends provided training to perform field investigation activities.

Requirements:
High school diploma and BS/BA degree in progress in a science or related field (environmental, health and safety, engineering, chemistry, biology, geology). The ideal candidate will have less than one year remaining to complete their BS/BA degree.
