Job Title: Supervisor, Scheduling
Location: Sylmar, CA
What we are looking for:
We are looking for a Supervisor, Scheduling to supervise the development, preparation, and maintenance of the production schedules to ensure maximum efficiency and customers’ expectations at our Anthony Sylmar location.
Supervises scheduling department that will include assigning work, facilitating team involvement, ensuring performance management processes are completed, developing a production schedule, working with production managers to ensure schedule adherence to meet customer expectations.
What you will be responsible for in this role:
- Review and create daily/weekly/monthly schedules for the plant.
- Lead a team to ensure schedule adherence and execution.
- Manage load leveling and bottleneck scheduling while understanding constraints for more accurate scheduling.
- Coordinate information with other functional staff, including customer service, engineering, accounting, purchasing, and human resources.
- Performs capacity analysis to determine the availability of resources necessary to support the production plan.
- Various projects as assigned.
What are the basic qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience in manufacturing scheduling
- 5+ years in management or a supervisory role
What are the preferred qualifications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Ability to respond to change with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Effective communication and people skills
- Six Sigma Certification
- APICS certification
- Automotive or aerospace manufacturing experience
