The Boeing Company has an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Labor Relations Specialist to join our Labor Relations Southwest team to support our California locations in Seal Beach, Long Beach, El Segundo and Huntington Beach.
The ideal applicant is someone who has a broad range of experience covering the areas of labor relations, positive employee relations, and employee engagement. The selected candidate for this position will demonstrate proactive approaches to identifying issues, generating ideas and developing solutions.
Our team is hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Experienced or Senior Specialists.
Position Responsibilities:
Provide knowledge, guidance and interpretation on collective bargaining agreements and labor relations issues
Grievance research and resolution, collaborating with management, other HR functions, employees and union representatives
Partner with leadership to maintain and foster relationships with employees that ensures a culture where management preserves the direct relationship with employees
Identify risks both internal and external - to a strong, direct relationship between leaders and employees and develop plans to mitigate those risks
Execute positive employee relations and containment processes for multiple locations
Provide innovative ideas/initiatives to increase employee engagement
Provide operational advice and counsel to management, Human Resources (HR) and support groups on a broad range of labor relations issues
Develop strong partnerships with business leaders, HR functions and union leadership to create integrated solutions that will foster a culture based on relationships, trust and engagement
Assist management and HR in developing strategies related to employee survey feedback
Capability to travel up to 25%
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience communicating effectively with multiple levels of an organization
1+ years of experience working with labor unions
Able and willing to travel 25% of the time domestically
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree or higher
5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
3+ years of experience with HR Labor and/or Employment related laws, policies and procedures, in particular the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA)
Experience working in an HR capacity
Experience with negotiating
Experience with Workday
Typical Education & Experience:
Experienced (Level 3)
Typically 6 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.
Senior (Level 4)
Typically 10 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Summary pay range for experienced level: $86,700 - $117,300
Summary pay range for senior level: $104,550 - $141,450
