The Mission Manager will lead, continually enhance, and execute a holistic, One Team approach to successfully manage personnel performance on a large, complex Prime program providing mission critical support to the Intelligence Community (IC). The successful candidate will proactively manage individual program leaders, each responsible for enabling personnel – and thus, mission – success in their respective area of responsibility (AOR). The Mission Manager will be expected to maintain awareness of technical performance across all AORs, highlighting individual and/or group achievements as well as actively engaging all appropriate stakeholders to manage the team’s execution of individually tailored plans to address performance and/or other related concerns. Further, as a Peraton leader, this individual will regularly collaborate across the business to support achievement of portfolio objectives. The Mission Manager will also be expected to:

• Oversee technical execution by actively engaging, supporting, and supervising the programmatic responsibilities of AOR leads;
• Ensure AOR leads are regularly evaluating individual performance and helping to verify appropriate program leveling related to that performance;
• Develop, mature and maintain positive, collaborative working relationships with the customer leadership team, to include customer technical points of contact;
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with all teammates in order to highlight successes, mitigate performance or other concerns, and identify opportunities to leverage teammate capabilities not yet fully recognized;
• Partner effectively with the Human Resources organization, especially as it pertains to Peraton employee performance, and ensure compliance with company HR policies and procedures;
• Maintain aggressive efforts to retain team members in collaboration with each individual, their AOR lead, their company, and Peraton leadership, as appropriate;
• Document and regularly update processes, and drive process improvement initiatives;
• Cooperate with other leaders across the enterprise to drive overall enterprise success;
• Work well under pressure in a dynamic environment and meet or exceed deadlines.
• Assist with more tactical tasks, such as submital and approval for EWW requests, maintaining kudos repository, and other ad hoc issues.

Required:

• TS/SCI with Polygraph level clearance is required.
• Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years demonstrated experience supporting the Intelligence Community (IC) in an individual contributor role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity;
• Demonstrated organizational skills and the willingness and ability to adapt to dynamic and unexpected customer and/or business requirements;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and proven ability to establish and manage positive, insightful relationships with customers.

Desired:

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification;
• Demonstrated experience in a program leadership role within the IC.
